On April 17, 2021, Filipino motivational speaker Pocholo “The VoiceMaster” Gonzales was invited as a guest speaker at DXGN 89.9 Spirit FM-Davao “Blessed” in celebration of World Voice Day.

World Voice Day is an annual event that takes place every 16th of April in celebration of the phenomenon of the voice. The purpose of this event is to demonstrate the importance of voice in the daily lives of all people. 

The VoiceMaster shared insightful thoughts about the importance of voice and technology as he talked about the blessings and challenges he faced amidst the pandemic with JNeil Piala in the afternoon radio show “Blessed.”

In his discussion, he talked about how preparedness for the future is important. Due to the pandemic, all kinds of events were put on hold indefinitely. This made a huge impact on the event industry and ultimately the people in it. Pocholo was one of those who was affected as he lost his speaking engagements which were his main source of income. 

However, he refused to give in and instead used the opportunity to bounce back and help other people at the same time. When asked about the importance of voice, he said that “our voice is a gift from God, and how we use it is our gift back to God.” He emphasized how the voice is transformative in nature and could change a lot of lives. In fact, he says that his CVAP family is his greatest blessing even amidst all the tribulations caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. He added that it gives him the delight to see his students’ lives changing and becoming even more positive.

Pocholo also talked about how everyone can use their voice to create positive social change. He inspired the viewers with his message “your voice is a gift from God and it is how you use it that is your gift back to God,” and to live life to the fullest potential and purpose.
